i have yet to see the marker in person, but from what i can tell it seems like they made it more affordable, like when the 07 PMR was released. it is still a sharp looking marker and the bolt system most likely is the same or similar. just might need a few cheap upgrades down the road. but, making the gun cheaper means it sells for cheaper also. Dye/Proto would not let the quality go down. i can reassure you that quality will be there, just in a more affordable way. if you are a fan of the Proto Rail you might want to look at the new Proto Reflex Rail. It has everything upgraded out of the box. (2 piece 14 inch Proto barrel, aluminum clamping feedneck, on/off ASA, etc...)
